Some years ago we spent a week in Kirkcudbright, fell in love with the area and obtained our own “Galloway Getaway”.
Our cosy, semi-detached, cottage is in a conservation area - the oldest part of town – and is situated down one of Kirkcudbright’s famous closes. It is in a quiet part of town, yet only minutes walk from Museums, art galleries, the Marina, working harbour, MacLellan’s Castle, Broughton House, shops, inns, restaurants, and the indoor swimming pool.
The entrance porch leads to a spacious, fully fitted dining kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and all the cutlery, crockery, utensils and equipment you will need. The comfortable lounge has a TV and DVD player together with a selection of books, games, maps and information about the area. The open staircase leads to the spacious bedroom with king size bed and solid wood furniture. The ensuite bathroom has a four piece suite, shaver socket and electric shower over the bath.
Outside is a secluded courtyard area with picnic table and outhouse where bicycles can be stored.
There is ample free parking on the High Street – a quiet one-way street.
