Welcome to Kirkcudbright in beautiful Galloway

Whether you are looking for spectacular coastal & upland scenery, quiet unspoilt beaches, fantastic walks, historic castles, botanical gardens, wildlife, bird colonies, golf, museums, galleries or just a peaceful relaxing break away from it all – beautiful Galloway is the holiday destination for you.

Kirkcudbright (pronounced Kircoobree) has long been home to a busy fishing trade. Behind the working harbour and picturesque marina the wide streets with pastel coloured houses have housed generations of Artists - hence “The Artists’ Town”.

Our cottage is situated in a quite part of town – yet is within minutes walk of Museums, art galleries, the Marina, harbour, MacLellan’s Castle, Broughton House, fine shops, inns, restaurants, and indoor swimming pool.
